Facebook Connect and Google Friend Connect
This week is a historic week for the web in which two Internet giant released two solutions that have the potential to change the entire Internet into a giant social networking site. Facebook released Facebook Connect while Google released Google Friend Connect, both sites allow third parties to receive visitors already have a Facebook account and Google, without the need to create a new account specifically for the site.
Both Google and Facebook Friend Connect Connect aims to promote the use of a digital identity across the web. The main difference from the second solution is the only day when Facebook allows users to log in with a Facebook account only, while Google Friend Connect allows users to use the account on Google, Yahoo, AOL or OpenID without the need to create a new profile in the destination site.
Additionally, sites that use Friend Connect also automatically get the capability to use OpenSocial applications, making the site a more social.

Meanwhile, for Facebook, and how I have been discussing how to work a little on Facebook Connect several months ago. The outline Facebook Connect provides two advantages:
1. Facilitate users to use a single identity on the web
2. Facilitate users to share the experience with web friends
Excellence from using Facebook Connect is the site owner can use the data connection that is owned by Facebook visitors, while Google Friend Connect support more types of online identity at the same time allows the user to inculcate in the application of Open Social sites.
